Last night we came out of the caves And set our microphones ablaze Backlit to crawl a crooked mile We’ll cast our overvotes and smile The joy is palpable
All that was was untrue But it all came back to you Nothing ventured, nothing blue In a moment’s notice (3 times)
For common knowledge we beseech A horde of demigods and freaks Yet I can’t understand a word Untranslatable, absurd, and impossible
All that was was untrue But it all came back to you Nothing ventured, nothing blue In a moment’s notice
I’d best be gone to meet my fate Sweet dreams to those who lisp and shake Slow death to those who would compile The list of lonely souls reviled For love’s not possible
All that was…

In A Moment's Notice Another golden oldie written early in 2000, then updated for the stolen election later that year. Catamount played this song endlessly for three, maybe four years and now I can't even remember the entire progression. One of the three tracks I wrote for the EP version of "Watch Your Ikons Crumble"(later expanded to CD length, and like "Smile" abandoned).
